This gorgeous scene is a superb example of Grippa's technique. The deep voluptuous colors demonstrate his love for the Amazon. This shows the view at night from his hilltop studio, with Pevas to the left and the main stream of the Amazon in the center. The Rio Ampiyacu runs from the bottom right of the painting.
