Best known of these is Francisco Grippa, one of the Amazon's best-known artists. The second gallery includes work from of artists who paint postcards for sale to tourists. Although themes and styles are similar, each post card is a unique work of art. Artwork by native Indian artists offers insight into how forest-dwelling people view themselves and the nature around them. Finally, we present a variety of artwork done by children in the United States and Amazon countries. All paintings are accompanied by a caption to explain the context of the art, whether landscape, portrait or depiction of animals and plants.
