The flowers seem to glow with an inner vitality. The artist has captured the "intelligence" of these
marvelous plants—that add so much color and intrigue to the rainforest ecosystem. The botanical details
are correct, with the pseudobulbs, white roots and flower details portrayed perfectly. There is what appears
to be a caterpillar on the bottom right-hand leaf. This painting is by Alfredo Zagacetsa C. and is dated May
26, 1995. Original size is 16 x 11.5 inches, the medium is gouache on arches. The work is untitled and the
species is not known.
