The Galapagos Islands provide a wonderful opportunity to learn about nature. Scientists refer to it as a "living
laboratory." Of course, we can learn a lot about evolution the islands were central to inspiring Charles
Darwin who discovered the principle of evolution by natural selection. We can also learn about geology. For example,
the Galapagos are so recently formed that none of the islands exceeds 10 million years oldmany of the
geological features remain pristine. |
