The Galapagos Islands are a National Park and World Biosphere Reserve, of global scientific importance. Yet they are under growing pressure from increasing population, tourism, fishing and invasive species. To counter the threat are dozens of conservation organizations some include the Galapagos in a portfolio of important conservation efforts, others are devoted solely to the Galapagos cause.
