PAPAYAS

Papaya, or pawpaw (Carica papaya) is a delicious fruit that grows from a small but fast growing tree. Lodges and hotels often serve it for breakfast. It is readily available in supermarket produce sections - try it! An extract of papaya (papain) is used as a meat tenderizer.
