RAINBOW LIZARD

The rainbow lizard (Agama agama) is a common sight throughout most of sub-Saharan Africa. It perches on a convenient rock where it can simultaneously soak up the warm rays of the sun, and look out for tasty insects unwarily scampering within range. This species belongs to the agamid family, the most diverse family of lizards.
